PonteVita Rx offers two kinds of service.

• Prescription refills - if you are already taking a prescription and are stable on that medicine, then we provide a refill for most prescriptions.
• New Prescriptions - there are certain health problems that we can provide new prescriptions for after you visit with a provider.

• PonteVita Rx is great for common and routine health conditions and strives to be the most competent, cost-effective and convenient point of access to your medicines.
• PonteVita Rx healthcare providers can refill existing prescriptions for many health conditions like asthma, high blood pressure, anxiety and depression, performance anxiety, allergies, reflux, migraines, birth control, hypothyroidism, high cholesterol, cold sores, shingles, genital herpes, erectile dysfunction, premature ejaculation, acne regimens, epinephrine pens for anaphylaxis and many more.

• We do not have an exhaustive list of medicines, but there are some important categories to consider (this is not a complete list but general guidance).
• Controlled medications:
  • Painkillers - narcotics and opiates like oxycodone, Percocet, etc
  • Sedatives - benzodiazepines & barbiturates like Ativan, Xanax, Fioricet, Valium,and Klonopin
  • ADHD drugs - stimulants like Ritalin and Adderall
  • Muscle relaxants - medicines like gabapentin, baclofen, or Soma
  • TRT - Testosterone is currently classified as a controlled substance
  • Appetite suppressants - phentermine
  • Hypnotics - medicines like Ambien or Lunesta
• Potentially dangerous medications:While all medications have risks of side effects, there are some medications that carry a much higher risk of really bad side effects and should be monitored very closely with your in-person care team.
  • Seizure medications like Dilantin, Keppra, and Vimpat
  • Blood thinners like Coumadin, Plavix, and Xarelto
  • Heart rhythm medications like Flecainide, Amiodarone, and digoxin
  • Heart attack and heart failure medications like nitroglycerin, Lasix, furosemide, Entresto, Torsemide
• Other medications:
  • COVID medications (we do not provide prescriptions for any medications used to treat or prevent COVID)
  • Cancer or HIV medications
  • Accutane or isotretinoin for acne
  • Antibiotics or antifungals
  • Tranexamic acid for bleeding
  • At this time PonteVita Rx is unable to provide “sick” visits for patients

PonteVita Rx healthcare providers can provide a new prescription if appropriate for the following conditions after an evaluation:

• Men’s Health: erectile dysfunction, hair loss, premature ejaculation
• Skin Care: acne, wrinkle prevention
• Herpes Help: shingles, cold sores, genital herpes
• Latisse for eyelash restoration and lengthening

• From there, there are just 3 simple steps to get your refill.
  • Fill out all of the forms (should not take more than 20-30 minutes)
  • Your provider might ask some questions about your history
  • We send the prescription to the pharmacy of your choice

• You will book an appointment time on a provider’s calendar and then you will be prompted to fill out some forms.
• The PonteVita Rx team will contact you as soon as you book an appointment to help the process go smoothly and quickly.

PonteVita Rx can see and treat patients in all 50 states and the District of Columbia.

Everyone deserves access to their medicine. For this reason, and in agreement with the American Medical Association, we are proud to offer a full year of refills for routine and common health medications on existing prescriptions.

• For the right patients and conditions, it is very safe. It is even promoted by the American Medical Association, and there are six states with legislation supporting this practice. The state of Wyoming even supports patients' prescriptions being as long as two years.
• There are conditions and medications where an extended-duration refill is inappropriate
